OSQS APPROACH TO THE MARKET
OSQS offers wholesale offshore services to retail service bureaus. OSQS DOES NOT solicit business directly from the end user except right here in our own backyard in the port city of Charleston, SC.
OSQS has found the majority of multi-site service bureaus already have an offshore resource whereas the local single site bureaus do not. OSQS can add value in both of these instances: as a contingency backup to the former and as a primary provider for the latter.
OSQS AS FACILITATOR
If a service bureau is contemplating expanding business by leveraging offshore economies the initial challenges will be determining which offshore vendor to use and, more importantly, how to establish effective communication to assure proper management of the customer's projects. Thereafter, the challenge will be to keep volumes high enough to assure the availability of services when needed.
As a US-based wholesale broker of offshore services OSQS has eliminated those challenges for our clients.
We only work with vendors in India; by far the world's leader in Business Process Outsourcing (BPO). Although we share a common language, we have developed an "ear" for the various accents. You need an "ear" during long teleconferences when discussing project definition, pricing and production.
OSQS DIFFERENTIATORS
OSQS has three key differentiators that give us a competitive edge:
- We are a US-owned and US-based organization that provides domestic management of the entire offshore experience.
- We have an in-country Executive Manager, Karipaparambil (we call him Dominic), who is a native of India and a globally recognized expert consultant in BPO. While we manage the projects from the States, Dominic manages the provider relationships in India. We suspect Dominic has a PhD in negotiation as our clients are always pleased with the pricing.
- Our telemarketing team. As relationships with our clients mature we offer an even greater value; our telemarketing will cultivate leads for our client service bureaus in their respective marketplaces.

OSQS’ VALUE-ADD
The principle of a service bureau is to provide support for various functions normally performed by their clients.
The service bureau model effectively out-sources processes which would otherwise be staffed and managed within a client’s corporate environment and accomplishes the task(s) more cost effectively.
With cost effectiveness being the driving factor, service bureaus are focused on the continuing challenge to improve quality and scope of service to their clients while at the same time controlling and driving down the service bureau’s operating costs. The competitive nature of the service bureau business mandates continual enhancement of service offerings.
OSQS is a key element in this equation because it provides the opportunity to combine industry standards and infrastructure to create new and more efficient ways for service bureaus to do their
jobs and serve their clients. OSQS offers this opportunity; the service bureau must grasp the opportunity and leverage it in behalf of their clients.
As a wholesaler OSQS can demonstrate significant cost effectiveness while delivering improvements in quality that service bureaus can pass on to their clients.
Several factors have combined to make our offerings available on a global basis: the fall of the Berlin Wall, the introduction of Microsoft Windows, and the Internet to name three. To explore these insights we suggest you read The World is Flat by Thomas Friedman.
